The All New Ford Fusion Hybrid

The Appearance Package includes 18 inch machined-aluminum wheels with painted pockets, P225/45R18 V-rated performance tires, a sport-tuned suspension, a rear spoiler, a unique finish on the instrument panel spears and center stack, unique cloth seat and door trim inserts (SE), leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob (SE). Your choice of a body-color grille or chrome grille. Available on Ford Fusion SE and SEL in Tuxedo Black, Sport Blue Metallic, Sterling Grey Metallic and Sangria Red Metallic exterior colors, with Charcoal Black interior only.

2.5L Atkinson-Cycle I4 engine and electric motor

Fusion Hybrid propulsion is supplied by a combination of two sources: an electric motor powered by an innovative nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery, and the next generation of the 2.5L Atkinson-Cycle I-4 Hybrid engine. The electric motor can propel Fusion Hybrid up to 47 miles per hour on its own power, and combines with the hybrid engine when extra power is needed. Combined power rating is 191 net horsepower. The 2.5L Atkinson-cycle I-4 Hybrid engine features late intake valve closing (iCVT) and advancements in processor technology for seamless transitions from gas to electric mode. Best of all, it's the most fuel-efficient hybrid sedan in America.*

eCVT transmission

The 2.5L Atkinson-Cycle Hybrid I-4 engine is teamed with an electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (eCVT). As its name suggests, this transmission is designed to provide seamless shifting because there is no progression of gear changes in the usual sense. What's more, because the eCVT can compensate for changing vehicle speeds, it allows engine speed to remain at its level of peak efficiency, helping make the Fusion Hybrid the most fuel-efficient hybrid sedan in its class.* *EPA-estimated 41 City/36 Hwy mpg. Dual LCD SmartGauge? Cluster with Eco Guide

The exclusive dual LCD SmartGauge? Cluster with EcoGuide is an innovative gauge cluster that provides real-time information to help you derive the most efficiency from your Fusion Hybrid. SmartGauge? with EcoGuide uses dual liquid crystal display (LCD) screens on either side of the center-mounted speedometer. A tutorial built into the display lets you choose one of four data screens for the level of information you want - Inform, Enlighten, Engage or Empower - and explains your options within each. Steering wheel-mounted controls make it all easy. All levels can indicate instant fuel economy; fuel economy history; odometer; engine coolant temperature; plus trip data including fuel economy, time-elapsed fuel economy and miles to empty. Watch the display grow leaves when you drive efficiently. Or watch them fade when you don't. More leaves = more mpg (up to 41 mpg city). This green motivator works during any of the four display modes.
